Alcuni mesi fa l’Het Nieuwe Instituut di Rotterdam ha annunciato con orgoglio The Podium: una spettacolare piattaforma sulla sommità dello stesso centro culturale che, per la prima volta, si è resa accessibile al pubblico.
La stupefacente installazione rosa fluo, raggiungibile mediante un’apposita e imponente scala esterna, è stata progettata da MVRDV, uno dei più importanti studi di architettura olandesi.
Aperta dal 1 giugno al 17 agosto 2022, The Podium ha offerto un’opportunità “panoramica” per vivere l’architettura, la città, il Parco dei Musei e l’istituto da una prospettiva completamente nuova, in un imponente gioco tridimensionale. Questo palcoscenico cittadino occupava il tetto a un’altezza di 29 metri. Oltre ad accogliere una mostra interattiva i primi lavori di MVRDV, ha ospitato numerose iniziative culturali e multidisciplinari per gran parte dell’estate.
La scelta cromatica che connota questo intervento temporaneo vede l’affermazione del rosa shocking come tinta di tendenza.
Shocking terrace – A few months ago, the Het Nieuwe Instituut in Rotterdam proudly announced The Podium: a spectacular platform on the top of the same cultural center which, for the first time, became accessible to the visitors.
The amazing fluorescent pink installation, accessible via a special and impressive external staircase, was designed by MVRDV, one of the most important Dutch architectural firms.
Open from 1 June to 17 August 2022, The Podium offered a “panoramic” opportunity to experience architecture, the city, the Museum Park and the institute from a completely new perspective, in an impressive three-dimensional game. This city stage occupied the roof at a height of 29 meters. In addition to hosting an interactive exhibition of MVRDV’s first works, it hosted numerous cultural and multidisciplinary initiatives for most of the summer.
The chromatic choice that characterizes this temporary intervention sees the affirmation of shocking pink as a trendy color.
